The Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas held its National Congress for 2025 last October 20–22, 2025, with the theme “Barangay Para sa Kalikasan, Matatag na Kinabukasan.” The event was spearheaded by Hon. Maria Katrina Jessica Dy, President of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas, and was attended by our hardworking President of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Bulacan, Board Member Engr. Fortune “Tato” SJ. Angeles, together with other Presidents of the Liga ng mga Barangay from the towns and cities of the province of Bulacan.

October 16, 2025 A Committee Hearing was held regarding the benefits intended for Barangay Health Workers (BHW). The hearing was led by Vice Governor Alex C. Castro, who is also the principal author of the proposed initiative, together with the members of the Provincial Board (Sangguniang Panlalawigan).

A meaningful meeting of the Provincial Federation of Barangay Tanods was held last October 3, 2025 in partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, Ms. Rowena J. Tiongson. The discussion focused on the benefits that barangay tanods may receive, in recognition of their vital role in maintaining peace and order in their communities.This initiative is part of the Provincial Government of Bulacan’s programs dedicated to supporting barangay public servants.

The Liga ng mga Barangay Bulacan Chapter conducted the general membership meeting and election officers of the Provincial Chief Tanod Federation of Bulacan last February 21, 2025. January 31, 2025, Atty. Benjamin "Benhur" C. Abalos, Jr. paid a visit to the Province of Bulacan to meet the Presidents of Liga ng mga Barangay - Bulacan Chapter, headed by Board Member Engr. Fortunato SJ. Angeles which consisted of 20 Municipalities and 4 Cities. Atty. Abalos also had the chance to come across with some members of the Mayor's League of Bulacan. On this same day, LnB Bulacan also held their first regular meeting for 2025, at Mighty King Restaurant located at Tabang, Guiguinto Bulacan.

The 3rd National Executive Board Meeting of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas was held last November 28, 2024 at the Grand Westside Hotel in Pasay City, Manila. The event was spearheaded by the league’s president, Hon. Jessica Dy. Major agenda of the meeting include the preparations for the 2025 National Congress as well as updates on the league’s current projects such as the implementation of Liga ID. Another relevant topic discussed was the league’s immediate actions on the recent rampant killings of barangay officials.

Newly elected barangay officials attended a one-day training conducted by DILG Bulacan entitled “Component 3: Sharpening the Saw of Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent (GREAT) Barangays Program”. This was held last November 6, 2024 at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center. The said training aims to strengthen and enhance the skills of barangay officials in effectively implementing their duties and responsibilities in accordance to our laws and policies.

Hon. Fortunato SJ. Angeles took his oath of office as the new Liga ng mga Barangay Bulacan Chapter President before Governor Daniel R. Fernando together with DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, and other LnB Bulacan Chapter officers. Board Member Angeles hails from the Municipality of Bustos and replaced the deceased LnB President Ramil Capistrano.

The Provincial Government of Bulacan recognized barangay projects and barangay workers that showed exemplary service and dedication during the Gawad Galing Barangay held last October 17, 2024 at The Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center. The said event was graced by Liga ng mga Barangay National Federation President Maria Katrina Jessica G. Dy, DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, Board Member Casey Tyrone E.
